Announcement of Margaret E. Ashida Scholarship

The obituary for Margaret E. Ashida (Ellie) just was printed today
(10/9/02). It reads “There will be no services or calling hours. In lieu
of flowers friends wishing may contribute to University of Rochester, to
support a Scholarship Fund being established in Ellie’s memory, c/0 Jack
Kreckel, Sr., Vice President, 590 Mt. Hope Ave., Rochester, NY 14620.”

Ellie had very strong convictions about what to do after her death and
Dr. Ashida and his daughters are trying to balance her wishes with the
personal needs of family and friends.

By the way Ellie’s legal name is Margaret E. Ashida, PhD. in case people
need to reference it for their contributions.
