Previous approval was given to increase the fees for Dan promotions by 278%. With the new promotion fees it became very advantageous to become a new Life Member rather than pay the increased promotion fees. 2015-2016 Life Membership awards go to: Yudanshakai 1st Nanka 2nd 50th State 3rd Central Coast Club 1st Honolulu Pal – 50th State Tohoku – Rokushu 2nd College Park – Shufu Palo Alto – Central Coast Peal City – 50th State West Covina – Nanka 3rd Guerreos – Nanka Soko Joshi – Central Coast West Covina – Nanka Vallejo – Hokka Respectfully submitted, Tom Sheehan Life Membership Year End Report 2014–2015 We received 140 new regular Life Members. This was five less than the record high number that we had last year resulting in a 3% decrease for regular membership. We received an additional two upgrades to President Club Life Member. This was a decrease of 33% from the previous year. As a result, the income to the USJF Endowment Fund after the expense of paying for plaques, engraving, cards, lapel pins, patches and postage was $21,893.10. In conversations with Mr. Robert Fukuda, we both feel that we should raise the Life Member fee in conjunction with the previously approved increase in fees for Dan promotions. The new fees are very advantageous for our new Life Members but not to USJF when we increase the promotion fees by over 100% and don’t raise the Life Membership fee. 2014-2015 Life Membership awards go to: Yudanshakai Hawaii Central Coast Nanka Club San Jose State – Central CoastHilo Hongwanji – Hawaii Tohkan – Chicago College Park – ShufuMililani YMCA – HawaiiWest Covina – NankaWestern Idaho – Daiheigan Respectfully submitted, Tom Sheehan Life Membership Year End Report 2013–2014 We received 145 new regular Life Members. A record high number of members since I became chair with a little over 100% increase. We received an additional three upgrades to President Club Life Member. This was a decrease of 43% from the previous year. I believe this increase is mainly due to our new fees for Dan promotions. Before we increased the promotion fees breakeven for an Ikkyu would not be achieved until they reached the Godan level. Now the breakeven point is at Nidan level. So this becomes very advantageous for our new Life Members and to USJF to promote this USJF program. As a result, the income to the USJF Endowment Fund after the expense of paying for plaques, engraving, cards, lapel pins, patches and postage was $24,644. 2013-2014 Life Membership awards go to: Yudanshakai Hawaii 50th State CencoKonanNanka Club Hilo Hongwanji Hawaii Mililani Seidokan HawaiiPaladin Martial Arts RokushuRenshinkan Niagra Budokan NorthwestBunasawa Kai NankaCity College of San Francisco Central CoastHawaii Boys & Girls Club HawaiiSaito Dojo Konan Respectfully submitted,Tom Sheehan
