Re: END OF SECOND WAVE OF DATA COLLECTION

Hi everyone. Happy New Year! I hope this year brings you much success, happiness,
and prosperity.

I am writing to remind everyone to have your students, new and old to judo,
complete our survey. As you know, the purpose of the study is to document
the positive effects of judo participation on character development. We have
already had excellent preliminary results, and we hope to continue to add
to our database by tracking changes in people over time.

Data collection will end on 31 January 2006. Thus please have all your students
who will participate complete the data collection procedures, either online
or by hardcopy. If you need hardcopies let us know.

  1. HARDCOPY. If you requested hardcopies, please provide them with one and
ask them to complete it and bring them back to you. Please collect them
and send them to me all at once at the end of the month. If you need more,
    let me know ASAP.
  2. ONLINE: You can provide your students with the website link to the survey:
http://www.usjf.com/survey. They can complete the survey entirely online. You
don't have to do anything else.

If you have any questions about the survey or procedures, please don't hesitate
to contact me at

, or my assistant for this project, Stephanie
Hata, at

.

Thanks a lot once again for your help in this important project for judo.
