Criteria for 2002 USJF Awards

International Junior Female Athletes of the Year: The highest ranked female athletes in the USJI Junior Elite
ranking system at the close of the calendar year, provided the athlete is ranked B or higher.




International Junior Male Athletes of the Year: The highest ranked male athletes in the USJI Junior Elite ranking
system at the close of the calendar year, provided the athlete is ranked B or higher.




National Junior Female Athletes of the Year: Second highest ranked female athletes according to criteria for
International Junior Female athletes of the year.




National Junior Male Athletes of the Year: Second highest ranked male athletes according to criteria for
International Junior Male athletes of the year.




International Senior Female Athletes of the Year: The highest ranked female athletes in the USJI Senior Elite
ranking system at the close of the calendar year, provided the athlete is ranked B or higher.




International Senior Male Athletes of the Year: The highest ranked male athletes in the USJI Senior Elite ranking
system at the close of the calendar year, provided the athlete is ranked B or higher.




National Senior Female Athletes of the Year: Second highest ranked female athletes according to criteria for
International Senior Female athletes of the year.




National Senior Male Athletes of the Year: Second highest ranked male athletes according to criteria for
International Senior Male athletes of the year.




Junior Coaches of the Year: Coaches of the recipient of the International Junior Male and Female athletes of the year.




Senior Coaches of the Year: Coaches of the recipient of the International Senior Male and Female athletes of the year.




Kata Competitors of the Year: Highest placings/points basis based on competition at the US Senior National Kata Championships
and the Fukuda International Invitational Kata Championships.




Referee of the Year: Highest newly certified referee PJU-C or higher that year.
