2009 USJF Nationals Yudanshakai TEAM Results

The 2009 USJF Junior Nationals Yudanshakai Team event hosted by Central Coast Yudanshakai at City College of San Francisco had the most teams entered in the memory of the Junior Youth Development Committee with 5 female teams and 6 male teams.  Female teams: 50th State, Daiheigen, Hokka, Intermountain, and Nanka.  Male teams included:  Daiheigen, Central Coast, Nanka, Intermountain, Hokka, and 50th State.  Congratulations to all the yudanshakai's putting a team together in the spirit of judo for what is believed to be one of the most exciting competitions of our event.  Be sure to bring your teams to Irvine, CA/ aka Disneyland, July 3-4, 2010. 

FEMALE YUDANSHAKAI TEAM:

  1. 50th State Yudanshakai
  2. Daiheigen Yudanshakai
  3. Nanka Yudanshakai

MALE YUDANSHAKAI TEAM:

  1. Daiheigen Yudanshakai
  2. Central Coast Yudanshakai
  3. Nanka Yudanshakai

TEAM COMPETITION.  Team competition is limited to eligible USJF Yudanshakai members who meet the eligibility requirements.

Both male and female teams shall consist of five (5) members each meeting the following age and weight criteria:

  • Male: 
    • One (1) competitor born 1999 – 2000 or earlier, not more than 43 kg
    • One (1) competitor born 1997 – 1998 or earlier, not more than 53 kg
    • One (1) competitor born 1995 – 1996 or earlier, not more than 64 kg
    • One (1) competitor born 1993 – 1994 or earlier, not more than 90 kg
    • One (1) competitor born 1990 – 1992 or earlier, no weight limitation
  • Female:
    • One (1) competitor born 1999 – 2000 or earlier, not more than 43 kg
    • One (1) competitor born 1997 – 1998 or earlier, not more than 53 kg
    • One (1) competitor born 1995 – 1996 or earlier, not more than 64 kg
    • One (1) competitor born 1993 – 1994 or earlier, not more than 70 kg
    • One (1) competitor born 1990 – 1992 or earlier, no weight limitation

The United States Judo Federation and the Tournament Committee do not recommend that competitors younger than the years indicated compete in an older age category. However, younger competitors (under 18 years of age) will be allowed to move up to an older age category with the prior approval of their parents(s)/legal guardian(s), coach/instructor, and upon completion of all forms. If the contestant is less than 18 years of age, each contestant and parent(s)/legal guardian(s) must sign all the proper forms.
